Twitter has announced the expansion of Spaces beta testing to Android devices. It is a limited beta testing as Twitter is currently limiting Android users to joining and talking in existing Spaces. It says that the ability to create their own Spaces on Android will become available soon in the future. A specific date for that expansion has not been revealed yet.
The Spaces feature originally debuted on the iOS platform. It is a Clubhouse-like functionality where users can create and join rooms and interact in audio-only mode. It means they can participate from anywhere without having to worry about how they look or how their background/surrounding like it happens with video calls.
Android folks, our beta is growing! starting today you will be able to join and talk in any Space. SOON you’ll be able to create your own but we’re still working out some things. keep your 👀 out for live Spaces above your home tl
