New iPad Pro with mini-LED display, M1-like chipset coming in April | Report - Android

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro will have mini-LED display tech.

We know that Apple has plans to refresh the iPad lineup this year. These are expected to include a standard iPad upgrade, a new iPad mini model, and much-better iPad Pro models. It is the Pro ones that have caught everyone's attention as Apple is rumored to be working on introducing a bunch of noteworthy technical advancements.

The upcoming iPad Pro models are tipped to feature a design similar to the predecessors. Even the display sizes are expected to be the same i.e. 11-inch and 12.9-inch. It is the internals where most of the changes will exist. To start with the processor, Apple is reported to use a chipset at level with the M1 chips we saw on the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models of the last year.

The rumor mill has also widely suggested that we would see iPad Pro models with mini-LED display panels. The latest report claims that this new display tech will be limited to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro for the time being. It is expected to deliver a better contrast ratio and fewer chances of getting affected by burn-in issues as compared to an OLED panel.
