Motorola Edge+ Android 11 update brings 'Ready For' desktop mode - Android

It supports both applications and games in desktop mode.

The Motorola Edge+ Android 11 update is rolling out on Verizon in the United States and with that, it is receiving a new mode called Ready For. This is a desktop mode similar to Samsung's DeX and Huawei's Easy Projection. It will allow users to connect their smartphones to the PC and user applications like they are meant for the desktop.

The mode is currently available only on the Motorola Edge Plus. If you have this smartphone, you can start the process by connecting the phone to an external monitor using a USB cable. It can either be a USB Type-C cable or USB Type-C to HDMI connector which will automatically start the Ready For mode instantly. It can be used for running various applications and even games on the bigger screen.

Once the connection has been made, users can even choose to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. It will be helpful in creating a whole productive environment with a complete PC-like user experience. It can even improve online meetings as they have become the go-to method for staying in touch with colleagues and stay updated with projects.
