Xiaomi's mega launch event for March is over where it took wraps off the new Mi 11 series smartphones but that was not the only announcement. It also unveiled a new fitness tracker named Mi Band 6. It is a direct successor to last year's Mi Band 5 and as we have seen with the series, it delivers way more than what it costs to buy.
The Mi Band 6 sports a 1.56-inch AMOLED colorful display which is significantly larger than the last generation. There are no changes to the overall design as we continue to see the pill-shaped approach. The panel has a resolution of 152 x 486 pixels and a peak brightness of 450 nits. Xiaomi says users will get 50% more screen estate as compared to the last year. It also has an anti-fingerprint coating and tempered glass protection.
It is the first Mi Band to come with a SpO2 sensor which has become a common sensor among wearables. It allows users to measure their blood oxygen levels anytime they want. The band is further capable of 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, sleep quality tracking, breathing quality analysis, stress monitoring, and female health features. It has 30 workout modes and can auto-detect six different fitness activities walking, treadmill, cycling, rowing machine (ergometer), and elliptical. It features water resistance so that you can take it out during your swimming sessions.
