Xiaomi has now introduced its Redmi Smart TV X lineup of smart TVs in India. The series comprises premium Android TVs but at a relatively affordable price, especially when compared with the competition. This is not exactly a surprising move as Redmi is known for delivering value for money products across all categories that it operates in.
The Redmi Smart TV X series features three options: 50-inches, 55-inches, and 65-inches. These are officially known as the Redmi Smart TV X50, X55, and X65 respectively. Each of these sports a 4K LED panel with support for various video and audio technologies like HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 30W Dolby Audio, and DTS:X.
It runs Android 10 on the software front but has Xiaomi's PatchWall user interface. The latter is a custom UI that works as a content aggregator to help users browse and discover content from both OTT platforms and live TV channels. It even has a universal search that fastens up the whole process of finding the desired content. It further has Chromecast integration so that users can cast content from their smartphones to the big screen.
