New iPhone SE with 5G, upgraded processor to launch in 2022 - Android

Apple released the latest iPhone SE last year which led many to believe that we would see a successor this year. It seems like that event is unlikely to happen as the rumor mill is hinting at next year's release. Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned research analyst, has predicted that the new iPhone SE aka iPhone SE 3 will launch sometime in 2022.

Kuo says that the third-generation iPhone SE will have a design and specifications resembling the current-gen offering. This should disappoint Apple fans hoping for some improvements in the next model. The biggest difference will be the support for 5G connectivity which we have already seen with the iPhone 12 lineup. It will further have an upgraded processor for better and boosted performance.

It simply means we are likely to see Apple continue with thicker bezels and the Touch ID home button for at least one more generation. It is expected to have the same 4.7-inch display which many users found to be too small for modern needs. Even though Kuo has not specified what new processor will be there, we can speculate it to be Apple A14 Bionic.
