Instagram Live Rooms is the newest feature released by the platform that will allow users to go live with up to three other users at a time. It is meant to increase the usability of Instagram Live that used to support only two people until now. The newly added feature means that there can now be a total of four users in a single room as compared to being just two.
The official blog post says that Instagram is hoping Live Rooms will result in more creative opportunities for users. The increased number of supported users can be used for hosting a jam session, Q&A session to engage followers, or having something like a podcast where users can have discussions. In other words, the new rooms will allow users to do more on live streams and interact with a wider audience as there are more people.
The process of setting up an Instagram Live Room is fairly simple. You will need to go live on the app just like you have been going so far. For the uninitiated, it can be done by swiping left on the home screen and select "Live" from the list of available camera options. The next step is to give your room a name and then invite users you want to go live with. You can also add other users even when you are already live.
