Asus has officially unveiled its newest gaming smartphone lineup ROG Phone 5. There are three models named ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. It is a successor to last year's ROG Phone 3 family and brings a number of noteworthy visual, features, and specs upgrades. If you are wondering is ROG Phone 4, the company has skipped the number "4" as it is considered to be unlucky in a few Asian countries.
The ROG Phone 5 sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ (2488 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It offers up to 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with Adreno 610 GPU and support for 5G connectivity. The phone has multiple configuration variants featuring a minimum of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and a maximum of 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The camera department features a triple camera setup on the back panel: 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is a 24-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.
