Apple is widely rumored to be working on two different MacBook Pro models for the year. These are expected to be powered by the company's own silicon chips like last year's M1-powered variants. A new report from Nikkei Asia has emerged that corroborates previous claims of new models being in the development pipeline.
The report claims that Apple will start mass-producing two new MacBook models in the second half of the year. It was previously rumored to under mass production in May or June but has now been pushed back. It further reveals that both of these models will be powered by Apple's own processor which is part of the company's ultimate goal of ditching Intel chipsets.
It is important to note that while the report refers to the device as simply MacBook, speculations suggest that these will likely be the much-rumored MacBook Pro models. These are tipped to arrive in at least two size options of 14-inches and 16-inches. There will also be a major redesign that will be a major overhaul in a long time.
