Apple M1-powered iMac goes official in seven colorful variants - Android

Apple has officially unveiled the first-ever iMac with its in-house developed M1 processor. It joins the M1 family featuring MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Mini devices launched last year. Other than the under the hood changes, the team has also revamped the visual appearance significantly along with an option to choose from seven different colors.

The first thing that you will notice straight away is how sleek the iMac 2021 lineup is from the side profile. Apple claims to be only 11.5 millimeters in thickness but for some reason, the signature but odd-looking iMac chin is still here. It does look a lot more out of the place because of the new sleek profile which makes it 50% smaller in volume than the predecessor.

Apple has added a new 1080p FaceTime HD webcam to the iMac that will enable video calls with much better clarity. It has a larger sensor that will be helpful even in low-light conditions and since there is an M1 chip inside, it has computation video processing support as well. There is a new three-mic array claimed to deliver "studio quality" audio. There is a new speaker system featuring a total of six speakers and two pairs of force-canceling woofers. It has support for Dolby Atmos and spatial audio which is a first for an iMac.
