Apple ‘A14X’ chip rumored for iPad Pro popped up for the first time ever - Android

Reference of the A14X chip spotted inside the iOS 14.5 beta 5 code.

Rumors on the new iPad Pro are on the rise but nothing is confirmed yet. However, something substantial has been found that gives strong support to all those rumors build up.

The folks over at 9to5Mac were able to spot a few references to a new chip “A14X” in the latest iOS 14.5 beta 5 updates. There is not a direct mention of the chip name. But the sleuths were able to conclude it logically. The code shows references to GPU which is internally codenamed “13G.” As pointed out, this chip name hasn’t been used by any currently available iOS devices.

Based on the previous naming schemes found on iOS, the “13G” reference is for the A14X, a variant of the A14 Bionic chip used in iOS devices. Furthermore, MacRumors was also able to confirm the existence by stating that its contributor found direct mentions of the A14X GPU in the beta as well.
