In a huge data leak, personal data of about 533 million Facebook users has been posted online. This is said to be the same data that was first reported in 2019 but it is now available in the public domain. The latest finding was first reported by Business Insider and it even verified to a data sample.
It is reported that the affected 533 million Facebook users are spread across 106 countries. In terms of distribution, 32 million users from the United States, 11 million users from the United Kingdom, and 6 million users from India. The leaked data includes details like phone numbers, Facebook IDs, full names, locations, birth dates, bios, relationship statuses, and email addresses.
Such huge data leaks are available in exchange for some kind of payment and are not accessible to everyone. But with the fresh reports of public availability, the data can now be accessed by anyone with basic search skills. Even though the data leak is about two years old, it can still be valuable for scammers and anyone looking to use the data with a malicious intention.
