iOS 14.5 beta spotted with battery health recalibration, new Siri voices - Android

Apple will not set default male/female Siri voice anymore.

Apple has been beta testing the iOS 14.5 version for quite some time and many of the features have been spotted. The latest beta version has just become available to testers and as we expected, there are a few more new features to talk about. The first one is the ability to recalibrate battery health on iPhone 11 series devices. The next up is related to the addition of new Siri voices.

Starting with the first major change, iPhone 11 users have been complaining about below-par battery health performance on their devices. The issue seems to be affecting all the models i.e. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The users have said that they are experiencing unexpected battery drainage as well as a reduction in peak performance capability. Apple is hopeful of fixing these issues with the iOS 14.5 build.

Once the update becomes available, all users will see a new message in the battery health section. It will say, "Your battery health reporting system is recalibrating Maximum Capacity and Peak Performance Capability. This process may take a few weeks." All these details will get updated once the recalibration is complete. There is also a possibility that this process might fail and in that case, it will get started again and will take a few weeks time.
