WhatsApp for iOS gets voice messages animation and disable receipts support - Android

It is time for a new WhatsApp iOS update that brings a couple of new features. These are not major changes but are worth consideration as they will improve the user experience. The first one is the addition of new animation for voice messages. The second feature is support for disabling receipts.

The WhatsApp Messenger's new update shows a progress bar animation for each of the voice messages. This bar progresses as the message gets played and once it reaches the end, the message gets played from the beginning. This feature is currently available only on devices running iOS 13 or higher.

The second feature in the update is also related to audio messages. WhatsApp for iOS now supports disabling receipts for audio messages. This is something that has been available for other forms of messages for quite some time. It means whenever you will receive and listen to a new voice message, the sender will not be notified about the same. The feature can be disabled by visiting WhatsApp settings followed by Account and Privacy.
