Many have followed suit, and even major players like Samsung and LG have jumped into this budget-friendly category in India. If you’re looking for a lot of bang for your buck, here are some of the best phones under 15,000 rupees!

Poco’s first-ever launch, with the F1, was all the rage, and while it took a while for the company’s next release, the Poco X2 was an exciting option. The Poco X3 not only succeeds it but starts at an even cheaper price range, with the base model slipping into our list of the best phones under 15,000 rupees.
Offering high-end features in the mid-range category is what Poco is known for, and that comes in the form of a great 120Hz display. A better processing package, improved camera setup, and a huge 6,000mAh battery round out a very enticing device in this price range.
We have to mention that the Indian edition of the Poco X3 is slightly different from the Poco X3 NFC that was released in Europe. Performance, design, and most of the hardware stay the same. The big difference is that the Indian version doesn’t come with NFC. However, to make up for it, Poco managed to squeeze a much larger battery into the phone.

Every OEM is hoping to knock Xiaomi out of the top spot, and it’s become a fascinating game of one-upmanship in the budget-friendly segment in India. One company that is giving Xiaomi a run for its money is Realme. The latter is hoping to continue its impressive run with its latest affordable smartphone — the Realme 8.
The Pro iteration may get all the attention with its 108MP camera, but the regular version is certainly no slouch and helps you save a decent chunk of money. Like some of the other options on this list, its specs and features are well beyond anything you’d expect from a phone priced at under 15,000 rupees, like a 90Hz display, super-fast charging, and excellent cameras. However, the Realme 8 manages to be a touch cheaper than its competition as well.
Realme’s release cycle ensures that every successor is an iterative upgrade, and more so in this case than before. You get the same processing package, the same battery and fast charging capabilities, and an identical camera setup. Software updates make the camera better than before though, and the Realme 8 has the advantage of running the latest version of Android and double the storage with the base model.

Realme continues to expand its budget-friendly portfolio with the latest additions to its Narzo series. The newer Narzo 30 Pro falls outside the 15,000 rupee range, but the Narzo 20 Pro remains a great option.
The Narzo 20 Pro comes with the same processing package as the Realme 8, and has a display with a faster 90Hz refresh rate. The Realme 8 comes with an arguably better 64MP primary shooter though, compared to the 48MP unit of the Narzo 20 Pro, and also packs a larger battery.
The absolute standout feature of the Narzo 20 Pro is 65W fast charging. You can fully charge the phone in just 38 minutes, around half the time it takes to charge the Realme 8, and you can get 14% of the charge back in just 3 minutes. Both the Realme 8 and Narzo 20 Pro have similar price points, so you can decide which features are more important.

There may be a lot more competition in the affordable segment now, but Redmi continues to rise to the challenge. The company raises the bar once again with the Redmi Note 10 and an extremely aggressive pricing strategy.
The Redmi Note 10 isn’t as impressive as the Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max, but the Pro iterations are a lot more expensive too. It comes with a solid mid-range processing package, and even the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is well under 15,000 rupees. It’s a decent upgrade over its predecessor as well, with an improved camera, better processor, faster charging, and the latest version of Android.
Redmi Note 10 specs:
Samsung launched its latest additions to its popular M-series of smartphones, The new phones have managed to retain the company’s aggressive pricing model as well, making the Galaxy M12 one of the best phones you can get for under 15,000 rupees.
The Galaxy M12 keeps a lot of features and even the general design language from the previous generations, and essentially just brings these higher-end features to a lower price bracket. It comes with a 6.5-inch 90Hz screen, and a massive 6,000mAh battery. In comparison, the Redmi Note 10 offers a smaller 5,000mAh battery, albeit with 33W charging, and a 60Hz screen.
It doesn’t have the fastest processor in this price range though, and the camera setup is par for the course for this category with a quad-camera setup headlined by a 48MP camera. There’s no doubt that Samsung is looking to take on Xiaomi and Realme with these phones, and the Galaxy M12 is certainly up to the task.
