TCL has launched the P725 TV running on Android 11. The TV is available in 43, 50, 55 and 65-inches. The TV is a 4K TV with support for HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Even though the TVs are running on Android 11, they do not come with the new Google TV UI. The TV also supports a detachable webcam. This is targeted at those working from home and users can conduct video calls with up to 32 people using Google Duo.

TCL P725 features and specificationsAs mentioned above, the TCL P725 is available in 43, 50, 55 and 65-inches. The 65-inch is available exclusively on Amazon. The TCL P725 is a 4K TV with support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The TCL P725 is the first TV in India to run on Android 11. The TV does not come with the new Google TV UI. Running on Android TV you get access to the Google Play Store along with access to all popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5 and many more.
The TCL P725 has dual-band Wi-Fi. It also boasts of 24W sound output. The TV has a refresh rate of 60Hz. It has three HDMI ports of which one port supports eARC. The TV also comes with 2 USB ports.
The TV comes bundled with a video camera offering users a plug and play experience for video calls using the TV. The camera has a shutter that can be closed to cover the lens for privacy, or users can choose to disconnect the camera completely.
The TV also boasts of an AiPQ Engine. According to TCL, the “chipset enabled TCL algorithm processes content in real-time, detecting environment and upscaling display and audio”. It also claims to optimize the picture based on the content. The TV also boasts of MEMC (Motion Estimation & Motion Compensation) for those that prefer the soap opera effect.
Last year TCL introduced hands-free controls on its TV’s and this year, the TCL P725 supports Hands-free Voice Control 2.0. Users can switch channels, set reminders, and explore streaming services using their voice and don't need to worry about where the remote control is.
The TCL P725 also comes with TCL Channel. According to TCL, it is an “enhanced waterfall-flow interface developed by TCL, designed in a content-first display across your favourite apps. Access the hottest and best in local and global content – including Hotstar’s, Netflix. TCL Channel boasts more providers – including MX Player, Docubay, Epic On, and more. Discover holiday collections for Diwali; plus, language content including Tamil, Kannada, and Marathi”. It looks like TCL Channel is adding value to the Android TV UI much like what we’ve seen with Xiaomi’s PatchWall and OnePlus’ OxygenPlay.
The TCL P725 also boasts of protection from moisture and dust. Adding additional protection at the back, the TV has a pyramid design rear panel for “added armour”.
TCL P725 Price and availabilityThe TCL P725 is available in 4 screen sizes. The 43-inch TCL P725 is priced at Rs 41,990. The 50-inch variant is priced at Rs 56,990 while the 55-inch variant is priced at Rs 62,990. The 65-inch TCL P725 is an Amazon exclusive and is priced at Rs 89,990.
