Samsung's third-generation foldable smartphone, presumably called Galaxy Z Fold 3, is rumored to arrive in June. It is expected to have a number of improvements but the most important one is support for the S Pen stylus. A new report from NaverNews, a South Korean publication, corroborates these claims but has also mentioned a detail that is likely to disappoint many fans.
The report reveals that Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have S Pen support but will not have a dedicated slot like the Galaxy Note series devices. It means all buyers will have to carry the stylus around on their own. But as for why Samsung is not offering a dedicated stylus slot, there are reported to be two reasons behind the decision.
The first reason is related to space constraints. Samsung is reportedly working on making Galaxy Z Fold 3 slimmer and lighter than the predecessor. It means the team has to place all important internal components within a limited space. This is the reason it cannot afford to offer a stylus slot and compromise on space for other crucial components.
