Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 rugged smartphone official - Android

After a bunch of detailed leaks, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy XCover 5. It is the latest offering in the rugged smartphone lineup aimed at the durability aspect. It is a direct successor to the Galaxy XCover 4 smartphone released years ago. The newest version comes with noticeable design changes but maintains the rugged build quality.

The Galaxy XCover 5 is claimed to powerful enough to withstand a drop of up to 1.5 meters. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance where the phone can be submerged into water (up to 1 meter) for a period of 30 minutes. Samsung has even added a new feature called Glove Touch which ensures that users are able to interact with the device even with gloves on. It further has Samsung Knox support for on-device security of user data.
