If you are in the market for a value for money notebook that does not settle on the performance front, Samsung wants you to have a look at the new Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Odyssey models. Both of these were unveiled at yesterday's Galaxy Unpacked event where we also see the launch of the high-end models: Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360.
The new Galaxy Book (2021) sports a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) TFT LCD display. It is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors but you can also choose from Intel Pentium Gold and Intel Celeron CPU options. You will get Intel Iris Xe GPU with Core i5/Core i7 models and Intel's integrated UHD Graphics with the rest of the variants. There is also a choice for NVIDIA's GeForce MX450 dedicated GPU for interested buyers.
The notebook is available with 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB LPDDR4X RAM options and up to 1TB NVMe SSD storage. The connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 ports, one HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone/mic port, microSD card slot, nanoSIM card slot, and Security slot. It offers a 720p webcam, Dolby Atmos audio, Pro Keyboard, and 54Wh battery with 65W fast charging. It weighs about 1.55kg and will boot Windows 10 Home/Pro depending on the particular variant.
