Reliance Jio releases JioPages browser for Android TV - Android

Reliance Jio has officially released its JioPages web browser for Android TV users globally. The telecom giant had launched JioPages back in October 2020 and at that time the browser was only available with its Jio set-top-box. Jio has now launched the JioPages browser for all users of Android TV and it is available to download from the Google Play Store for TV.

The JioPages browser is built on the Chromium Blink engine and is optimized for Android TV. It offers fast page load speeds, media streaming and improves the overall browsing experience. The browser was launched for Android phones back in 2018 and has since garnered over 10 Million+ downloads.

JioPages has a dedicated video section that offers over 10,000+ curated videos across 20 different categories such as music, movies, lifestyle, news and more. Jio says that it introduced this feature to “ease the process of content discovery on TV”. The browser can be personalized with different themes and backgrounds and users can also modify their default search engine.

Furthermore, the JioPages browser supports eight Indian languages and users can even customize the news feed as per their preferred language.
