The Realme X7 smartphone series debuted in China during the second half of the year and was expanded to the Indian market earlier this year. It includes two models named Realme X7 5G and Realme X7 Pro 5G but a new third model has just been added in China. It is called Realme X7 Pro Extreme Edition (machine translation) and while you would expect it to be the most powerful variant, it is actually a mix of both improvements and slight downgrades.
The Realme X7 Pro Extreme Edition sports a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED curved display panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The standard Realme X7 Pro has a flat display but a higher 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1200 nits, 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and 92.1% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor with 5G connectivity. It is available in two configuration options: 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB of RAM with 256GB of onboard storage. The camera department has also undergone a change as Realme has offered a triple camera setup instead of the quad-camera module on the standard Pro variant.
