Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G with flagship 5G modem, WiFi 6 announced - Android

It has borrowed many features from the Snapdragon 888 processor.

Qualcomm has announced Snapdragon 780G as the most feature-rich Snapdragon 700-series processor. It is a 5G capable processor which is an expected thing but there are a bunch of other noteworthy changes as well. It is a successor to the Snapdragon 765G from the last year and does not disappoint.

The Snapdragon 780G borrows many of its features from the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. It is an octa-core chipset based on the 5nm manufacturing process with a Cortex-A78 core clocked at 2.48GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.9GHz. It has Adreno 642 GPU with support for Vulkan 1.1, HDR gaming, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG.

The processor has Qualcomm's Spectra 570 triple ISP, the first Snapdragon 700-series chipset to feature a triple ISP. It means it is capable of clicking pictures from all three cameras at the same time. It will work with zoom, wide-angle, and ultra-wide-angle sensors to click pictures simultaneously. It further supports HDR10+ video recording, 4K HDR, and improved low-light photography.
