Krafton has confirmed that the PUBG Lite gaming title will shut down on April 29th. The announcement was made on the official website of the game but did not specify any reason. One of the assumptions is that the decision has been taken due to the below-expected response from the players.
PUBG Lite is a game specifically meant for low-specced laptops and PCs which are not capable of running the main PUBG PC battle royale game. It was switched to a completely free-to-play title towards late 2020 but seems like even that could not grab much attention. During its initial days of the release, many gamers did complain about the lack of actual players and having to play with computer bots which do not make the gaming experience enjoyable in any way.
