OnePlus has confirmed that it will be adding an official Theme Store with OxygenOS 12. The announcement has been made through a post on the official forums. It referred to the feature as one of the highly requested ones which is the reason it has now decided to implement it. The team will even hold an Open Ear Forum (OEF) session this month to gather user feedback.
Theme Store will allow OnePlus users to choose from different themes, wallpapers, icon packs, etc. to give their devices a unique look. These stores are a common occurrence in most custom Android skins and UIs. OxygenOS is known for providing an experience closer to stock Android which seems to be the reason it did not have a theme store so far. It is the repeated demands of the users that have led to the decision.
The next OEF session will take place on May 18th where OnePlus wants to hear from users about the implementation. It will probably gather information about what kind of features users want to see in the Theme Store. While anyone can submit their application until May 12th, only 15 users from around the globe will be selected for the session.
