Netflix is one of the biggest streaming platforms in the world. It is home to numerous movies and TV shows including original content that are available exclusively on the platform. It is now said to be considering the idea of a new service called N-Plus that will offer users exclusive access to behind-the-scenes content.
The streaming service is reported to have sent out a survey to select users. It basically asked users about their views on getting access to content like podcasts, how-tos, and user-generated playlists. It described N-Plus as an online space for users to learn more about the shows available on Netflix. This is something Netflix already does for some of its shows but that sort of content is scattered. The service seems to be an attempt to bring all that under a single roof.
All of this content is aimed at promoting the Netflix original shows. It is said that users will be able to create playlists of their favorite shows and share them with others. If the other person does not have a subscription, he will only be able to watch the trailer for those shows. This is similar to how users can create and share playlists on music streaming applications.
