Microsoft is reportedly revamping its Windows 10 app store. According to a report from Windows Central, Microsoft is making some changes to its app store to not only attract developers but also users.
Microsoft is reportedly working on a modern interface. The report doesn’t point out the exact design changes but does convey that it is going to be a new UI overhaul. Apart from this, Microsoft is also easing out submission policies for the developers so that more and more developers could join and deploy their apps to the app store.
The new Windows 10 app store will continue to host UWP (Universal Windows Platform) applications, despite the new changes. But that’s not a setback for the new joiners. Microsoft has already made sure of bridging this gap with the help of several projects. Take for instance the Project Centennial that helps developers to flock to Microsoft’s platform and publish their apps on the Windows 10 app store. This project was announced during Microsoft’s Build 2015 developer conference with an aim to help developers publish their .NET and Win32 desktop applications to the Windows Store.
