Instagram Lite app that uses less data now official in India | UPD - More countries - Android

Instagram Lite app now spans more than 170 countries, as recently put up by the owner Facebook. The "Lite" version of the app has been developed to work even in areas where the internet speeds aren't good. The app requires only 2MB of storage of your phone to work.

"Starting today, people in more than 170 countries will be able to download Instagram Lite in the Google Play Store to have a high-quality Instagram experience, no matter what network or device they're on. We will be rolling out the app globally soon," Facebook said
