IFA, one of the leading trade shows that happen annually has announced how its plans for this year’s event. IFA in a press release has announced that it is ready for the “full-scale return,” which means the event is set to take place as a full-fledged real-life/ in-person event from September 3-September 7, 2021 in Berlin.
Back in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was in its full swing, IFA organizers announced some changes to the way it usually conducts the event. IFA 2020 allowed the limited physical presence of attendees, thus making a partially in-person event for people with special invites. Speaking of the participating companies, they all scrapped their plans of attending the IFA 2020 event, and eventually, the event turned into a digital one where brands virtually exhibited their new products and services through online medium. Some brands held their own special events after withdrawing from the IFA 2020.
But, this year, IFA 2021 believes the world is again ready for the biggest trade show to happen in person, thanks to the ongoing vaccination process. Jens Heithecker, IFA Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Messe Berlin said,
