HMD Global releases revised Nokia Android 11 update roadmap - Android

Last October, HMD Global released the original roadmap for updating eligible Nokia devices to Android 11. It featured a total of 14 devices across different price segments expected to get updated by the end of Q2 2021. While many of these have received the update, there are still devices waiting for their turn. The delay has now been made official by the company has it has now issued a revised timeline.

The latest schedule means most of the devices will now get the update one quarter late. It now features Nokia 3.4, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 5.4, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 1.3, Nokia 1.4, and Nokia 2.4 as the smartphones that will get updated within this quarter. Some of these phones were supposed to get updated during the last quarter but that has not happened.

The team has further pushed the Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.2, and Nokia 9 PureView smartphones to the Q3 2021 release window. Each of these smartphones was first scheduled for the second quarter. It means users of these phones have no choice but to wait for at least one more month before they can expect to see the latest Android version.
