Google’s Sleep API to Improve Sleep Tracking, Save Your Phone Battery - Android

Google Sleep API will allow Android smartphones use less power to detect sleep patterns by eliminating the need to use multiple sleep-tracking apps working simultaneously in the background. Google has collaborated with Urbandroid who developed the Sleep As Android alarm app.
