Samsung might soon introduce 5G connectivity to its mid-range M-series as this is apparent from a listing spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance by the sleuths over at GalaxyClub. They found the model number SM-M425B which is similar to the model number that SamMobile reported back in October 2020 by citing its sources. It was reported that Samsung is prepping SM-M425F smartphone, which may end up being called the Galaxy M42.
The numbering system in the newly found model number SM-M425B indicates this is a 5G variant of the reported Galaxy M42 phone.
Interestingly, the same model has crossed the Bluetooth certification as well, and it appears the M42 5G is going to be the rebranded version of the Galaxy A42 5G. So, expect to see a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720x1600 pixel resolution. The phone may only support 15W charging for its 5,000mAh battery.
