Apple has announced the rollout of the search suggestions features for App Store. The announcement was made through App Store's official Twitter account where it posted a short video clip. The tweet reveals that the new functionality is currently limited to select regions: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
The clip shows that when someone would enter a search query within the App Store, it will automatically start showing relevant query suggestions. These are aimed at refining the search process so that results can be narrowed down to include only those apps and games that are relevant. The good thing is that these suggestions can be selected/deselected to be used as filters.
To give you an example, you can try searching for "photos" on the App Store. The app will then show you suggestions like collage, maker, wallpaper, editor, and creator. You can then tap on the ones that are relevant to what you are looking for and filter out search results. This is likely to help you discover new apps and games as well which you would not have stumbled upon otherwise.
