WhatsApp shares more information around its controversial privacy policy change - Android

WhatsApp explains how it will inform users about the upcoming privacy policy change.

A month back, WhatsApp put a clarification on how it deals with users' data, what is covered in its privacy policy, and from when the new changes will take into effect. Now, while reiterating its new policy, WhatsApp is announcing how it is going to make users aware of the new change.

WhatsApp has announced via a new blog post that it is sharing how it will ask the messaging app’s users to review new terms of service and privacy policy. WhatsApp said that in the coming days, it will display a banner in WhatsApp providing more information on the privacy policy.

WhatsApp also puts a reminder that it is building new ways to chat or shop with a business on the service and this is entirely optional. WhatsApp reiterates that personal messages will always be end-to-end encrypted, so WhatsApp can’t read or listen to them. While announcing this, WhatsApp briefly explains how it monetizes its service.
