The Google Pixel 3a is a good budget smartphone, especially for those who want to have Google user experience without having to spend a fortune on its flagships. Even though the phone has toned down specifications, it has one thing that you will not find on Pixel 3. It is the 3.5mm headphone jack which has started to become a luxury among expensive phones. And now, Google has revealed the reason it offered a headphone jack with Pixel 3a.
Google's Product Manager Soniya Jobanputra shared on the sidelines of Google I/O 2019 that they wanted to offer more flexibility to Pixel 3a users. This is the reason they decided against ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack. She said that even though Pixel 3a users can still go for "ultimate" audio experience via USB Type-C or Bluetooth, the jack is there to give them the freedom of opting for any method they want.
