It hasn’t even been a whole day since the launch of the OnePlus’ most recent flagship, the OnePlus 6 in India and the biggest brands have started reacting to it. Samsung today in a tweet has just taken on the OnePlus 6 in a not so subtle manner.
The Korean company took a dig at their Chinese competitors in the tweet and even used OnePlus’ tagline for the OnePlus 6 to make their point. The tagline for OnePlus 6 goes like “The Speed You Need” and Samsung’s tweet said, “#WhySettleForJustSpeed when you can get much #MoreThanJustSpeed? Buy the true Samsung flagship, #GalaxyS8 available at an incredible offer price of INR 37900.00”
The deal on the Samsung website has both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy A8+ on offer. And the new prices after cashback, when the devices are bought from the PayTm Mall are Rs 37,990 for the Galaxy S8 and Rs 29,990 for the Galaxy A8+. Samsung seems to be taking the competition from OnePlus 6 pretty seriously though the flagship on offer is a year old.
The OnePlus 6 which was launched in India at an event in Mumbai on May 17, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It now features a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and sports a cut-out similar to that of Oppo F7.
OnePlus 6 now gets a glass back as opposed to aluminum unibody casing seen on the previous model. It also gets dual rear camera setup with 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors. There is also a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. With OnePlus 6, the company is also bringing back optical image stabilization. OnePlus runs OxygenOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,300mAh battery. The OnePlus 6 will be available in Mirror Black, Midnight Black and Silk White color variants.
