Samsung is getting ready to expand the line of its J series smartphones. Last week we reported about the Galaxy J4, which is believed to be the cheapest variant in the series. Now, a leaked poster has surfaced online, which reveals more information about its high-end sibling, the Galaxy J6. Based on reports, the Galaxy J6 is said to launch in India on 25 May.
Most of the specifications have still not been revealed, but the poster does confirm certain rumors we’ve come across in the past. One of the key things mentioned on the poster is that the J6 will be featuring a super AMOLED Infinity Display. Based on that and other reports in the past, the phone is expected to have a 5.6-inch display with an HD+ (1480 x 720) resolution. The image in the poster shows the tall design of the phone with thin bezels.
The Galaxy J6 is said to feature an octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also a premium variant, which will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In the optics department, the phone is likely to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The phone is said to be fueled by a 3,000mAh battery and will be running Android 8.0 Oreo OS.
The Galaxy J6 is a mid-range smartphone and is speculated to be priced at Rs 14,000 and Rs 16,500 for the 3GB and the 4GB variants, respectively. Besides the Galaxy J6, Samsung is also expected to announce the J4, A6 and the A6+ in the month of May.
