OnePlus 6, the first flagship smartphone for 2018, is now official. The smartphone builds on the success formula of OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T and gets improvement mainly in terms of design. With OnePlus 6, the Chinese smartphone will be challenging the likes of Samsung Galaxy S9+, Huawei P20 Pro, Honor 10 and Apple iPhone X.
“With the OnePlus 6, we challenged ourselves to deliver an external design as smooth and elegant as the work we’ve done inside the device,” said OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau. “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, and we hope our users are too.”
OnePlus 6 has been one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2018. It will likely help OnePlus regain the top spot in India’s premium smartphone market while OnePlus 6 becomes the best-selling smartphone overall. Another thing to note here is that OnePlus 6 once again comes at a price premium debunking the convention of it being the flagship killer.
OnePlus 6 starts at Rs 34,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. There is also a premium variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage priced at Rs 39,999. In addition to these two models, OnePlus 6 also comes in Marvel Avengers Limited Edition variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB price, which will set you back by Rs 44,999. The regular variant goes on first sale for Prime members on May 21 while standard sales will begin on May 22. The Marvel Avengers Limited Edition will go on sale from May 29.
As part of launch offers, OnePlus 6 customers will get cashback of Rs 2,000 on transactions using SBI Debit and Credit Card during the first week of its launch. Customers will also be eligible to avail no cost EMI for up to three months on all popular banks. In addition to cashback, all OnePlus 6 customers will be eligible for 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify on downloading Kotak 811 app. All OnePlus 6 customers will also get discounts up to Rs 500 on Amazon Kindle e-books. Other offers include Rs 2,000 cashback from Idea Cellular and additional 10GB data.
