Lenovo is all set to launch its flagship smartphone on June 14, and ahead of the official unveiling, the company has already started teasing it. Called Lenovo Z5, the smartphone is expected to offer a true bezel-less experience, without that ugly display notch on the top. Lenovo’s VP, Chang Cheng has already posted on Weibo that the Z5 has the ‘highest ever’ screen-to-body ratio.

Cheng also asked fans to guess the screen-to-body ratio that Lenovo Z5 will come with, and given four options — 80-84 percent, 85-89 percent, 90-94 percent, or 95 percent. To make the guessing easier, he posted a render of the upper left side, and now, he has posted a render showing the bottom left of the Lenovo Z5.

Not much has been known about the upcoming Lenovo Z5, to bring truly bezel-less experience, the company has managed to achieve four technological breakthroughs along with 18 patented technologies, Cheng noted.

Two things to note from the renders, there is no fingerprint sensor at the bottom, and unlike other Android OEMs, Lenovo won’t adopt the display notch. Considering this, it is expected that the Lenovo Z5 will likely come with an under-display fingerprint sensor. And as there is no notch to house the earpiece, it could come with an in-screen earpiece, something similar to what Xiaomi had done with the Mi MIX.

Also, from the earlier sketch that we had come across, we can’t see the front camera, and it is possible that Lenovo may opt for a solution similar to Vivo Apex that was showcased at MWC 2018, where the retracts in the body when not in use. There is no word on the pricing and availability, and whether Lenovo will launch it outside China. All these questions will be answered on June 14 when Lenovo takes the wraps off the smartphone.
