Lenovo is a very well-known name in the Indian smartphone market as it made a name for itself by releasing some really good budget and mid-range smartphones. It used to be quite active in the market but went on an unexpected hiatus from phone launches since launching the Lenovo K8 Note last year. And now, it has finally announced the launch date for its next smartphone in India.
Lenovo India has sent out media invites for a new smartphone launch event scheduled to take place on October 16th in New Delhi. The invite does not mention the phone name except for shows a teasing glimpse of a phone with a metallic frame and rounded corners. It is accompanied with the tagline "The Killer Returns" which suggests that it could be a successor to the Lenovo K8 Note because the last Note was released with the tagline "Killer Note".
The Lenovo K8 Note was unveiled with a deca-core MediaTek Helio X23 chipset and a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor. It is only a speculation as it could happen that we might get to see a completely new offering under the K series. Lenovo has launched a few smartphones in China this year and it could also be planning to release one of those in the Indian market.
