Instagram feed posts can now be shared directly to Stories - Android

No more need of taking screenshots and then sharing them.

Instagram has now released a new feature which makes it possible for users to share feed posts directly to Stories. It will work with all types of posts, be the ones shared by you or by those public accounts which you follow. The idea behind the feature is to make it easier for users to share any particular post with all of their followers with just one click.

This new feature can come handy in a number of situations like when you want to promote a band or let every one of your followers to know about an upcoming event announcement. Earlier, users used to take a screenshot of the post and then upload it again as a Story to share with others. But with the new feature, the whole process becomes really easy and fast.

To use the feature, you need to go to the post which you want to share with others. Tap the paper airplane icon which is meant for sharing a post with friends in Direct Message. Tapping this icon will give you a new option at the top of the contacts list which will convert that post into a sticker for your story.
