Instagram Stories may allow you to add longer videos soon - Android

Instagram app may allow you to add longer videos to the Stories feature by splitting them into different 15-seconds video clips.

Instagram Stories feature is now allowing you to add longer videos. The longer videos will automatically get segmented into 15-second videos so that you could include your full video. The feature isn’t official yet but has been reported by a user on Reddit. The user has also shared the video that demonstrates how a long video gets segmented into different 15-second clips.

The user has shown a 45-seconds video that automatically gets segmented into three different videos. However, according to the user, the next part of the video doesn’t keep the text from the first clip; means the subsequent parts don’t retain the text and it remains with the first part only.

Instagram Stories were previously restricted to 15-second clips and those longer than this limit would be trimmed before sharing. It’s now good to note that your favorite moments which you want to share with the world will not get cut or you will not need to manually upload different segments of your long video after editing.
