Huawei Watch 2 2018 appears to be an iterative upgrade over original - Android

It is said to be same as the original except eSIM cards support.

While many of us are waiting for the Huawei Watch 3 release, a new leak has appeared suggesting that the company actually has plans to announce Huawei Watch 2 2018. This new leak is coming from the usually reliable Evan Blass (@evleaks) who suggests that this new offering is likely to be only an iterative upgrade over last year's Huawei Watch 2.

Blass tweeted that the upcoming Huawei Watch 2 2018 will be exactly same as the predecessor except for the support for eSIM cards. It means there will be nothing new, neither on the outside nor on what remains behind the scenes. The two smartwatches are also said to look quite similar to each other with nothing differentiating them from each other.

In terms of specifications, this means that you will be getting the same 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display with 390 x 390 resolution. Under the hood, it will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor coupled with 768MB of RAM. There will be 4GB of onboard storage to install some apps and store other data. The whole package will be powered by a 420mAh battery which should last you for about two days.
