Huawei MediaPad M5 Youth Edition with 8MP cameras and Kirin 659 chipset announced - Android

Huawei MediaPad M5 Youth Edition announced with 7,500mAh battery and Android Oreo 8.0.

The Chinese giant Huawei unveiled a new Youth variant of MediaPad M5 Tab with toned down hardware and affordable price tag. The MediaPad M5 Youth will certainly attract those buyers who want the MediaPad M5 but don't want to spend a hefty amount. So far this year Huawei released three variants of their Media Pad M5 series including M5 8.4, M5 10.8 and M5 Pro. Today the fourth variant of M5 series is out for the Chinese market.

In terms of specs, the M5 Youth Edition is featuring a 10.1-inches display. It's a TFT LCD display with Full HD screen resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. Like other variants of M5 series it also supports M-Pen Lite Stylus with pressure sensitivity up to 2048 points. Under the hood the Kirin 659 chipset is powering the device with 4GB RAM and built-in native storage is 64GB.

As far as the camera is a concern, the tab comes with an 8MP snapper on the rear with a f/2.0 aperture whereas for the front-facing side it has an 8MP module with f/2.0. The only difference is front snapper lacks autofocus. The Tab is pre-installed with Android Oreo straight out of the box with EMUI 8 skin over it. A 7,500mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on, it also supports fast charging.
