Samsung initially started rolling out the Android Oreo update to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in the UK but due to some issues, the rollout was halted before it could have a wider rollout. However, fortunately, the delay wasn’t for too long as the update has now been resumed officially and is rolling out to the public. The tech site dedicated to Samsung devices has reported that they are now seeing the update getting released.
So, those who have been waiting eagerly to try out the Oreo on their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices can now experience it. Samsung is now rolling out the firmware version G930FXXU2ERE8 and G935FXXU2ERE8 for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge respectively.
A moderator on Samsung’s official help forum for Europe confirmed the halt of the update. It came to everyone’s notice that some Galaxy S7 units were rebooting unexpectedly with Oreo. Samsung decided to stop the release so as to investigate the cause which is doing troubles to the users. It was thought that the company would take some time to roll out the updates again but surprisingly, the rollout resumed almost in no time.
