Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has proven to be a worthy challenger to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro. The smartphone was launched late last month and it will go on its third sale today at 12PM exclusively on Flipkart.
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the first smartphone launched as part of strategic partnership with Flipkart. The idea behind this partnership is to offer online exclusive smartphones catering to a specific set of customers who shop online. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is really unique since it offers specifications for a premium mid-range smartphone without putting a huge dent on customer’s wallet. As part of the sale, Flipkart notes that there will be only limited stocks available.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes in two storage variants – 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage and a 4GB RAM model with 64GB storage. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 10,999 while the 4GB RAM variant will retail for Rs 12,999. The Taiwan-based smartphone maker plans to add another variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage at a later stage. With the purchase of ZenFone Max Pro M1, Flipkart is offering its complete mobile protection plan for Rs 499 as opposed to its retail price of Rs 999. Vodafone subscribers has announced value-added benefits worth Rs 3,200 and free Red Shield Device security for 2 years.
In terms of specifications, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and support for taller 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset same as the one found on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. As stated above, the smartphone comes in two storage models with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage. There is also support for expandable storage up to 2TB via dedicated SD card slot.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual camera module. The primary 13-megapixel camera supports phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash and support for bokeh effect. There is also an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. It runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo making it the first Asus smartphone to ditch its own Zen UI. It also received a new software update few days back which brought the face unlock feature and April security patch to the smartphone. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery and will be available in black and grey color.
