Amazon expands Alexa calling and messaging to tablets - Android

It works with all types of tablets regardless of the platform.

Amazon has now expanded Alexa calling and messaging capabilities to tablets. This new expansion is for all sorts of tablets regardless of the operating system or device maker. It means you don't need to have an Echo device anymore just for making calls via Alexa.

To get this functionality on your particular tablet, you will need to make sure that you are running the latest Alexa version. If you happen to be using the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet, the whole process will be the easiest for you. The only thing you will need to do is to sync your contacts with Alexa and then make use of voice commands (Alexa, call Mom") to get started.

For those who have any other Alexa-powered Fire tablet, they will need to tap the home button first to start the Alexa calling or messaging process. As for other platforms like Android and iOS, users will need to launch the Alexa app and then give voice commands for the calling to work. On another hand for receiving calls, a user will only need to have the Alexa app installed and that is it.
